This October 1st, from 11:30 am to 1 pm, at the Army and Navy Club (901 17th St., NW, Washington, DC 20006), prepare for liftoff as the Herd welcomes General B. Chance “Salty” Saltzman—yes, that Salty—the orbital overlord of the U.S. Space Force. He’s traded his launch codes for lunch plans and will be touching down to share tales of satellites, strategy, and the occasional space-time snafu in a special "Fireside Chat" format with our own Grand Paramount Carabao, Lt Gen Trey Obering, USAF (Ret).

Whether you’re fluent in orbital mechanics or just coming for the surprisingly tasty lemon Dijon chicken and mashed potatoes, Salty’s visit promises to be out of this world. Expect cosmic insights, terrestrial chuckles, and a few classified laughs (strictly off the record, of course).
And now, for what we hoped would be an embarrassing picture of General Saltzman, but the CSO shows surprisingly good form on the mound.
(Frankly, compared to the Nationals bullpen, can he be any worse?)
We're trying something a little different this month as we're doing a "Fireside Chat" where our Grand Paramount will engage in an intimate discussion with the CSO about being the Service Chief, the unique elements of commanding such a young force, the future structure and operations of the Space Force, and whether the movie The Martian was credible in the slightest, or should have Matt Damon died a quick death on about Day 4.
And hopefully, we can get him to throw some carabao horns at our ancient (and now extinct) rivals, the Imperial Order of the Dragon.
️ Tickets are now on sale! And—and this is important—we are continuing the ticketing that current and paid up members will have priority to purchase. While guests can also sign up, and those who aren't current on their dues can sign up at the higher guest rate, but if we approach the limit on our seats, currently paid up Members will have priority and if needed, those who purchase the guest rate ticket will be refunded their payments.
Regardless, if your dues aren’t up to date, now’s the time to fix that as well
