Sorry folks, but General Berrier says the Bull Carabao ate his presentation slides, so he can't brief us tomorrow.
Actually, we think the Pentagon is calling him out of retirement to be an Administrative Law Judge for ICE at Great Lakes Naval Station - that will teach him to cancel on the Herd - off to the cold north shore of Chicago for him!
Seriously, we are canceling tomorrow's lunch, 5 September, and rescheduling it for Friday, September 12th, same time (11:30 to 13:00), location (Army & Navy Club on 17th Street, NW), same speaker (we will have extra rolls at the table for those who want to tempt fate and see if they can clock the General).
(Why's this look like the Carabao is juggling the dinner rolls instead of pelting the speaker? Oh well, chalk it up to another Chat GPT "hallucination")
Seriously, How We Are Fixing This:
For those who already purchased tix for September 5th, we will either refund you your tickets, or you we will honor them for September 12th. If we don't hear from you, we'll assume you're coming on September 12th, bot you can get a refund up to next Wednesday if you want. Just email us at MainGuy@Carabao.org and ask for the refund.
Your Main Guy will be at the Army & Navy Club tomorrow in case any of you don't get this word, and will have lunch with you if you want, but will also get you your refund then and there as well.

Sorry for the kerfuffle, but your Main Guy is supposed to be out drinking tonight, and instead he's taking care of this. Buy me a drink if you want - it will be Friday and it will be 5 o'clock in France, where they start drinking on Thursday for Friday happy hour anyway)

Clear your calendars and polish your horns—on September 12, 2025, we welcome General Scott Berrier, former Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, as our guest Carabao luncheon speaker.
Yes, that General Berrier. The one who knows where all the secrets are buried (and probably has a PowerPoint about it).
Expect sharp insights, good food, and at least one moment where you wonder if your clearance level is high enough to be in the room (Others already know that your Main Guy should NEVER have held a clearance, but that's a different story involving San Miguel beer, Officer Clubs, Cubi Point, and a certain pissed off Admiral...thank the Great Carabao in the Wallow that what happens in the PI stays in the PI!!)
️ Tickets are now on sale! And—and this is important—since this will be a smaller event as this is so soon after Labor Day, current and paid up members will have priority to purchase. While guests can also sign up, and those who aren't current on their dues can sign up at the higher guest rate, (Sorry, can't accept excuses such as “I meant to renew but got distracted by a rogue water buffalo.”), but if we approach the limit on our seats, currently paid up Members will have priority and if needed, those who purchase the guest rate ticket will be refunded their payments.
Regardless, if your dues aren’t up to date, now’s the time to fix that as well
Register to attend In-Person for $54.00 for members with paid up dues and $59.00 for guests or those members without paid up dues. Hooch (alcoholic drinks) are available at cost, while coffee, tea, and soda on the Herd. Register now because we expect seats to be limited.
